OUR DOCTRINE
One God Who Exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We believe in one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible.
(Deut 6:4; 2 Cor 13:14; 1 John 5:7)
CREATION, TEST, AND FALL OF MAN
We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness.
(Romans 3:10-18)
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, very God and very man.
(Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14, 9:16)
CHRIST'S DEATH AND RESURRECTION
We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day. He personally appeared to His disciples after His resurrection.
(1 Cor 15:14; Romans 4:25)
CHRIST'S BODILY ASCENCION & SECOND COMING
We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the Church.
(John 14:2-3; 1 Thess 4:13-18)
BASIS OF SALVATION
We believe that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, shedding His blood, and signing the pardon of all who believe in Him and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord.
(John 3:16; Romans 5:8; Romans 10:9-10; Heb 9:12, 22)
SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
We believe that before salvation we have no righteousness of our own, and must come to God through the righteousness of Christ. (Eph 2:8-9; Heb 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11; 1 John 1:9)
NEW BIRTH & DAILY CHRISTIAN LIFE
We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a literal one and is the result of being born of the Spirit of God. We believe that it is the will of God that we live sanctified and holy lives, growing constantly in the faith.
(2 Cor 5:17; Gal 2:20; John 3:5-7; Heb 6:1)
WATER BAPTISM
We believe that baptism by immersion, in water, is an outward sign of the inward work of salvation.
(Matt 28:19; Acts 2:34-38, 19:1-6)
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is to endue the believer with power, and that empowering follows the same manner as during the Bible days.
(Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 2:38-39, 8:14-17,10:44-46)
GIFTS & FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the Christian, and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life.
(1 Cor 12:1-11; Gal 5:22,23; Romans 12:6-8; Eph 4:11-13)
SPIRIT-FILLED LIVING
We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith. We believe it is the will of God that we walk in the Spirit continually.
(Eph 4:30-32; Eph 5:18, 1 Cor 6:14, 7:1)
THE LORD'S SUPPER
While the implications of communion or receiving of the Lord’s Supper are very much meant to be and are spiritual, in addition we believe in a natural taking or receiving of “bread/body/blood/wine” The Lord’s Supper is not only a commemoration what has has been done, it is also a celebrating of what is to come; the marriage supper of the Lamb when we will be united as one with our Savior, Jesus for all of eternity.
(Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 11:23-31, Revelation 19)
SPIRITUAL HEALING
We believe divine healing is the provision of Christ to heal the sick in response to the exercise of faith, prayer of faith, prayer of agreement, anointing with oil, gifts of healing, or laying on of hands. We believe this provision of Christ is for everyone today.
(Matt 8:17, 18:18-19; Mark 16:15-18; Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1 Cor 2:9; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14-16)
THE FINAL JUDGEMENT
We believe all shall stand one day before God in final judgment, and there receive eternal life. (John 5:24, 3:16) or eternal punishment (1 Cor 11:23-32).
(2 Cor 5:10; Rev 20:11-13)
HEAVEN & HELL
We believe Heaven is a Literal place, eternally existent (John 14:2; Rev 7:15-17). We believe Hell is a literal place of eternal torment for all who reject the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Rev 20:14,15)
SATAN & HIS JUDGMENT
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan and eternal judgment of Satan and his angels.
(Matt 25:41; Rev 20:10-15)
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
We believe it is our sacred duty to identify and actively participate with the local and visible church of Christ.
(Acts 16:5; Heb. 10:5)
EVANGELISM
We believe that soul-winning is the Great Commission given to the Church.
(James 5:20; Mark 16:15; 2 Cor 5:18-21)
MODERATION & BALANCE
We believe all truth must be balanced with other scriptural truth in order to avoid any extremes or fanaticism, and we believe that moderation should show forth in our daily walk as believers.
(Phil 4:5; Prov 11:1)
CIVIL GOVERNMENT
We believe the laws of the land should be upheld at all times except in matters opposed to the Word of God.
(Romans 13:1-5)
UNITY, LIBERTY, & LOVE
In essentials, there must be unity; in non-essentials, liberty; and in all things, LOVE.
THE SCRIPTURE INSPIRED
We believe in the absolute inspiration of the Holy Scriptures as they were originally given, and that they are infallibly and uniquely authoritative and free from error of any sort in all matters with which they deal, including science, history, morality, and theology. Furthermore, we believe that the church has no authority to establish doctrine or practice contrary to these Scriptures, which were subsequently accepted as canon by the early Christian church.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Cor 2:13)
